Back in the day, when Martyn Jones was a student at Chelsea School of Art, London he probably hoped that eventually his own paintings would be hanging beside those of his tutor, abstract artist Patrick Heron. But students do that. They dare to dream.
Martyn was tutored by some of the great names of mid 20th-century abstract art and his student days were a heady mix of work and play. He enjoyed an enviable social circle that included the likes of Sir Francis Bacon.

Martyn admits that he was fortunate in his formative years as an artist to have breathed such rarefied air, but it was perhaps predictable that in the 21st century his work would be found alongside such names as Patrick Heron, John Piper, Banksy, Anthony Gormley and Marc Chagall, just to name a few.
From November 21st 2015 Martyn Jones artwork is exhibited at Bebb Fine Art, Ludlow. www.bebbfineart.co.uk
